2nd Ordinary General Assembly: 50 Representatives from 18 Countries in Istanbul (July 2017)

The 2nd Ordinary General Assembly, held in Istanbul on 24–27 July 2017, brought together 50 representatives from 18 countries; a panel on disability in the light of the Holy Quran was held.
The 2nd Ordinary General Assembly of the International Union of Braille Quran Services convened in Istanbul on 24–27 July 2017. Fifty representatives from 18 countries attended to discuss how to improve Braille Quran services for the world's blind.
At the panel "Disability in the Light of the Holy Quran" held as part of the program, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Özdemir, Dr. Ahmet Murat Özel, Dr. İlyas Akyüzoğlu and Dr. Ebubekir Sifil presented papers. The speakers shared many examples of blind and disabled people who were successful and treated with respect in the time of the Prophet and the Caliphs.
The General Assembly reviewed the Union's activities since 2014, set goals for the new term and elected its governing bodies.

Preparing the Foundation: Statute Meeting in Beylikdüzü (August 2013)
