Meeting Visually Impaired Students in Albania (January 2014)

In January 2014 a Union delegation visited Albania, met visually impaired students and introduced Braille Quran services.
The founding delegation of our Union visited Albania in January 2014. During the visit, the delegation met visually impaired students and exchanged views on the Braille Quran and accessible religious services for visually impaired Muslims in the Balkans.
The visit to Albania was one of the Union's first contacts with visually impaired Muslims in Europe before its official establishment.

Our Work in Africa Deepens: Visit to Gambia
IBQS President Halis Kuralay was in Banjul, the capital of Gambia, on 17–24 January 2026. He attended a meeting of foundations providing religious services in 25 African countries, presented Braille Qurans and Elif primers to the GOVI school for the blind, and guided the founding of a Gambian association to join the Union.

IBQS President Halis Kuralay Visits Canada
On 4–11 September 2025 IBQS President Halis Kuralay met organizations such as Islamic Relief, the British Columbia Muslim Association and the Muslim Association of Canada in Vancouver, met student groups at the University of British Columbia and gave an interview to the Al-Ameen newspaper.

IBQS Pays a Return Visit to KADEM
Our Chairman Halis Kuralay visited KADEM Chairperson Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı, congratulated her on her new position and presented the Union's Braille Quran services.
