The founding delegation of our Union attended the Conference on Unifying the Quranic Braille Code held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 26–28 January 2014.

The founding delegation of our Union attended the Conference on Unifying the Quranic Braille Code, held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, on 26–28 January 2014.

The conference addressed the differences between the Quranic braille codes used in different parts of the world and ways of establishing an internationally recognized unified code. A unified code is one of the core objectives in our Union's statute, and this conference also marked the beginning of our cooperation with our member organization in Malaysia, the Al-Fitrah Foundation.

In February 2013, at the invitation of Selahattin Aydın, representatives of organizations from 13 countries met in Istanbul to discuss the Quranic braille code, printing and distribution, and resolved to form an umbrella organization.
