15 Braille Qurans and 30 Slates for a School for the Blind in Nigeria

At the request of a school in Kano State attended by about 600 visually impaired and 1,000 hearing-impaired students, 15 Braille Qurans and 30 braille slates were delivered in November 2024 with the support of the Aziz Mahmut Hüdayi Foundation.

A school for the blind in Nigeria with which we are in contact requested 15 Braille Qurans and 30 braille slates from our Union. The request was met with the support of the Aziz Mahmut Hüdayi Foundation, with which we have good relations, and the materials reached the school in November 2024.

Around 600 visually impaired and 1,000 hearing-impaired students study at the school in Kano State. The joy of the school administrators and students when the Qurans and slates arrived showed once again how great the need is in this field.

Together with our member organization in Nigeria, MAVIN (The Muslim Association of Visually Impaired of Nigeria), we continue to expand Braille Quran education in the region.
