Agreement with the Çare Association for a Braille Quran Course in Uganda

Our President Halis Kuralay visited the Çare Association; the two organizations agreed to work together on Braille Quran services in the countries where the association operates, starting with a course in Uganda.
Halis Kuralay, President of the International Union of Braille Quran Services, visited the Çare Association, which carries out humanitarian activities in countries such as Pakistan, the Philippines, Nigeria and Uganda. Çare Association President Mehmet Sütlü, Vice President Muhammed Rıza Derindağ and Uganda Orphanage Supervisor Emre Olgay attended the meeting.
Possible areas of cooperation between the two organizations were discussed. The parties agreed to work together to deliver Braille Quran services to visually impaired Muslims in the countries where the Çare Association operates. As a first step, they agreed to organize a Braille Quran course in Uganda.

He attended a meeting of foundations providing religious services in 25 African countries, presented Braille Qurans and Elif primers to the GOVI school for the blind, and guided the founding of a Gambian association to join the Union.

On 4–11 September 2025 IBQS President Halis Kuralay met organizations such as Islamic Relief, the British Columbia Muslim Association and the Muslim Association of Canada in Vancouver, met student groups at the University of British Columbia and gave an interview to the Al-Ameen newspaper.
