45 Braille Qurans Shipped to Six Countries in 2019

In 2019 our Union delivered a total of 45 Braille Qurans to Türkiye, Scotland, India, Nigeria, Bangladesh and Uganda; the Qurans for a school for the blind in India were delivered through the cooperation of our member organizations.
In 2019 our Union shipped a total of 45 Braille Qurans to six countries: Türkiye, Scotland, India, Nigeria, Bangladesh and Uganda.
Nine Braille Qurans were delivered to a school for the blind in India through the cooperation of our member organization in Malaysia, the Al-Fitrah Foundation, and the Rahman Foundation in India. Maulana Islah Busakorn from Chiang Mai, Thailand, expressed his thanks by reciting Surah Al-Hashr from the Braille Quran sent to him.
Thanks to the local networks of our member organizations, Braille Quran shipments reach visually impaired Muslims in the most remote regions. To date, Braille Qurans have been sent to Malaysia, Thailand, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Togo, Australia, the USA, Singapore, Pakistan, Chechnya, India, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Uganda and Dagestan.

Seventeen Braille Qurans were shipped from our headquarters in Istanbul to the Albasir School for the Blind in Mogadishu, Somalia; the school is directed by our Board Member Abikar Hussein.

A Journey That Began with a Message: 25 Braille Qurans for Sierra Leone
Prompted by a request from Alusine Jallow, a 27-year-old visually impaired man who wrote to our Facebook page, 25 Braille Qurans and Elif booklets were delivered with IHH's support to a group of 17 people in Sierra Leone who wanted to learn the Braille Quran.
